According to authorities, a shooting on a Chicago Highway Sunday night, Feb. 18, claimed the lives of a baby girl and two teenagers.
By 10:30 p.m., three additional people were shot in the shooting on the I-57 motorway on the south side of Chicago, according to state police.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the dead child has been identified as 1-year-old A-mara Hall, who was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Authorities reported that she was shot in the torso.
William Smith, age 13, and Nasir Hall, age 19, were the other fatal victims and were both declared dead at the site. According to reports, they were shot many times.
According to the Chicago Fire Department and the Chicago Sun-Times, a 14-year-old boy who was hospitalised in fair to critical condition is one of the survivors.

The two other injured individuals’ ages and conditions weren’t made public.
“Everyone in that vehicle had some kind of injury, whether critical or minor,” a state police spokesperson said, according to the newspaper.
The car carrying the victims diverted off the highway and braked near an exit ramp, police said.
State police stressed the investigation “is still in its infancy” and did not reveal if anyone was arrested yet.
“We’ve got to get these baby killers off the street,” activist Andrew Holmes stated while announcing a $7,000 reward for information regarding the incident.
