4 South East London schools shortlisted for Tes awards
The Tes School Awards recognise the best teachers and schools from UK state and independents, including early years, primary and secondary.
Now in its 15th year, the awards are known to be one the biggest nights in the education calendar with it being a huge achievement for those teachers and schools shortlisted.
Including four South East London schools that are shortlisted across the award’s 20 categories.
4 South East London schools shortlisted for prestigious awards
The nominated South East London schools are Eltham College, Kingsdale Foundation School, St Dunstan’s College and Alleyn’s School.
Eltham College has been shortlisted for a number of awards including, best use of Technology and Pupil Mental Health Initiative of the Year.
Plus its junior counterpart, the Eltham College Junior School, also got a nod for the Excellence in creative arts award which Kingsdale Foundation School was also nominated.
Independent school St Dunstan’s College was nominated for two awards, the Independent Prep School of the Year and Headteacher of the Year (independent) for Nick Hewlett.
Plus, Alleyn’s School was also shortlisted for Independent Senior School of the Year.

“This year has seen some incredibly high-quality entries. So every teacher and school who has been named in this shortlist should be very proud – it’s a fantastic achievement.
“We are looking forward to showcasing, as we do every year, just how vital our education professionals are to every facet of this country. Teachers, leaders and support staff all play such an important role in schools: this is our chance to say thank you for all that they do.”
The winners of the Tes Schools Awards will be announced on Friday 23rd June at a gala awards night at the Grosvenor Park Hotel in London.
