Arewa Community in Anambra State, has commend all the governors of the South East region for their efforts in promoting peace, security, and inclusive governance.
The commendation was contained in Eid el-Fitr message to Muslim Ummah and the general public, signed and made available to Journalists in Awka, on Saturday by Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, Chairman, Arewa Community, Anambra State branch.
According to Sidikki, who is also the Sarkin Fulani of Awka, the governor’s commitment to ensuring harmony among diverse communities is highly appreciated, and we encourage the continuation of such people-oriented leadership in the region.

“We also reaffirm our unwavering support for the Governor’s political vision towards the 2027 elections. We stand ready to align with and support any candidates they endorses, while also engaging our brothers in the North to promote and advance this shared objective.
“As we happily celebrate this year 2026 Eid el-Fitr, “I warmly felicitate with all Muslims on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
“Eid el-Fitr is a sacred period of gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to the values of peace, patience, tolerance, and unity.
“I urge all our members, particularly those residing in the South East, to remain law-abiding and continue to uphold peaceful coexistence with our host communities.
“We deeply appreciate the support, understanding, and hospitality extended to us, and we remain committed to fostering mutual respect while carrying out our lawful activities.
“I equally commended the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for his inclusive leadership and continued support for our community,” Sidikki further appreciated.
