Anambra Govt invites interested civil servants to apply for permanent secretary position

The Anambra State Government has invited interested and qualified civil servants in the state, to apply for the post of permanent secretary in the state civil service.

This was contained in a public service announcement signed by the Anambra State Head of Service, Ngozi Iwouno and made available to journalists on Thursday.

The announcement dated, March 27, 2026, copied to the deputy governor, speaker of the state House of Assembly and other relevant offices and parastatals.

According to the letter, all qualified applicants must submit their Expressions of Interest form to the Office of the Head of Service, Awka, for consideration on or before April 8, 2026.

The letter read, “The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has graciously approved that Expressions of interest be invited from suitably qualified civil servants for appointment into the position of permanent secretary in the Anambra State Public Service.

“Accordingly, interested officers are invited to apply, subject to the following criteria.

“The applicant must be a confirmed civil servant in the Anambra State Public Service.

“The applicant must be on the Directorate Cadre, i.e. not below the rank of Deputy Director and not above the rank of Director.

“The applicant must have a minimum of two years of service remaining before the mandatory retirement age or years of service, as applicable.

“In addition, other qualified officers outside the Anambra State Civil Service are also invited to express interest, provided they are on the Directorate Cadre, specifically within the ranks of Deputy Director or Director.

“All eligible officers who meet the above requirements are hereby requested to log on to https://www.anambrastate.gov.ng/ to fill, print and submit the Expressions of Interest form to the Office of the Head of Service, Awka, for consideration on or before April 8, 2026.

“Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the next stage of the selection process.”
