Mothering Sunday: APGA North Senatorial Aspirant, Odili Advocate For Women Empowerment, Abolition Of Harmful Traditional Practices

‎As Catholic mothers celebrate mothering Sunday, today Sunday April, 19th 2026, the frontline aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), for Anambra North Senatorial District, Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili, has described Mothers as the cornerstone of families, calling for women empowerment and abolition of all harmful practices against women.

‎In his mothering Sunday message to all the mothers in Anambra North, odili, made it clear that mothers are critical to the survivability of every nation, adding that without mothers, the society would be without direction.

‎The APGA Anambra North frontline Senatorial aspirant called on mothers to emulate the virtuous of “Holy Mother Mary”, whose humility despite being the mother of the Son of God, brought herself to the lowest ebb to earn her position.

‎Chief Odili who equally praised her wife for her humility, doggedness and steadfastness in building a happy home, note that for society to progress, mothers must be given their pride of place in the society.

‎He concluded by asking fathers to always support their wives to entrench a morally sound society, where society would be devoid of moral decadence, criminality, and above all, be uprightly sound to enable economic growth which women are the enablers for an egalitarian society.
