Bendeghe Ekiem came alive on Sunday 19 April 2026 as Dr. Obah Edom Tawo formally declared his intention to contest for the Federal House of Representatives seat for Etung Obubra Federal Constituency under the African Democratic Congress ADC.
The declaration, held at the Bendeghe Town Council Hall in Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State, drew a massive turnout that filled the two storey venue beyond capacity.
