A few days ago, we came out to say that aliens had been paid to tarnish the image of the Governor of Cross River State, Prince Bassey Otu, in a calculated plot to distract him. However, our own people, indigenes of this State, called it a lie.
In their plan, they categorically stated that Cross Riverians are gullible and that all they needed to do was push a narrative through sensationalists. It was designed to come right after the primaries so that aggrieved people could help amplify the narrative.
It worked to a great extent because many of you, out of sheer ignorance and/or misguided animosity over the outcome of the party primaries, became fans of our enemies and, helped them amplify their vendetta.

Days later, the paid aliens and their minions are no longer talking about the absence of infrastructure after we bombarded them with overwhelming evidence to counter the noise. In fact, they are now under intense pressure from their disgruntled paymasters to come up with another plan to justify the ₦50 million that those at the lower levels of the operation, running pseudo accounts, received for the job. We will begin to read attacks on the Governor’s family and top government officials. The people have ran out of ammunition, and confusion has set in about how we know their every move.
Government have access to information beyond people’s imaginations.
As far as this State is concerned, the best, most intelligent, uncompromising, and investigative critic we have is Agba Jalingo. He is online, seeing everything and probably laughing at those trying to imitate him. He must have been approached by those elements, but what will always distinguish him is that he is driven by conviction, not hunger, and he has access to credible and verifiable information, not all these beer parlour talks.
Governor Otu’s administration is not intolerant of criticism and critics. In fact, some of the issues he has made efforts to address include the fixing of potholes on major streets, waste management, mobility for councillors, the rehabilitation of the Ikom-Boki-Obudu Road, the first phase of gratuity payments, and others.
Dear people of Cross River State, it is your right to hold your Governor accountable based on FACTS that you know, not on the manipulative deception of aliens. If you do not use your brain, they will use it for you, and feed fat on your ignorance.
God bless Cross River State.
