The Anambra State Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rt. Hon. Ikem Uzozie, has predicted a landslide victory for its Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, Anambra Central Senatorial District candidate, Senator Victor Umeh, Anambra South Senatorial District candidate, Chief Ebuka Onuokwo and other candidates of the party ahead of the 2027 general election in Nigeria.
Uzozie who spoke during an interview with Journalists in Awka on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, hinged the prediction on the achievements of the party’s candidates in human capital development.
According to him, the 2027 election will be won by NDC from the Presidency down to State Houses of Assembly and it is going to be a landslide victory,” Uzozie assured.

“The distractions you are witnessing today especially, the Court battle, I strongly believe that it will be of our favour for a new Nigeria.
“In Anambra State, the number of eligible voters supporting the party is enough to give us victory at the polls.
“As it stands, there is no party that can confront NDC in Anambra State and Nigeria because the two ruling parties, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra and the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the centre has failed to delivered the dividends of democracy Nigerians are yielding for.
“NDC has filled one of the best team for the upcoming 2027 election. Our candidates have the capacity to win their various constituencies.
“We have also developed strategy plans on how to assist each and every our candidate to win the election at ease.
“NDC will brings people-oriented and qualitative leadership to Nigerians, if given the opportunity to governed the country come 2027,” the chairman canvasses.
Uzozie, a former member representing Aguata 1 State Constituency at the state House Assembly, while describing Obi as an exemplary leader of Nigeria politics, appeal to the media to continue to support NDC struggle for a new and better Nigeria.
