The South East Zonal Leader of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), High Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, has counselled students from the Faculty of Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State, on the need to study hard, saying that such was important to be successful in life after graduation.
Onunkwo give the admonition while speaking as a Guest Speaker 2 at the ongoing Faculty of Engineering Lecture Series 2026 of the Varsity, held at the ASUU-UNIZIK Secretariat hall Awka, on Thursday.
He said it was important for the Engineering students to cultivate the habit of studying and working hard, as such would go a long way in making them to achieve their dreams after school.

While recalling his days as Engineering student of the University 28 years ago, the RTIFN leader, said he became a well known figure in the World through the grace of God and hard work, assuring that as philanthropist, his gesture would continue to create the enabling environment for them (students) other youths in the State.
He said: “What I want to tell all of you here is that we believe so much in all of you; we know that you are our future; I also started from here and today by the grace of God, I happen to be your guest speaker two of this great event and so there will be many more speakers from this crowd that will lead the Unizik to unpredict height in future.
“As a result of my relentless hard work, dedication and commitment, I was appointed the South East Zonal Leader of an advocacy support group, Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) by Seyi Tinubu to strengthen regional support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Today, I am moving around in convoy and I will continue until I clock 100 years.
“Today, I am a notable philanthropist, engineer, and seasoned political figure in Anambra State, South East region and Nigeria as a whole.
“I was selected for my track record in community development and my ability to connect the federal government with local stakeholders in the south east geopolitical zone.
“My responsibilities include coordinating state chapters, strengthening communication between the presidency and South East leaders, and mobilising support for Tinubu’s economic and social reforms.
Onunkwo commended the Faculty for recognizing his outstanding contribution in oil and gas entrepreneurial sector.
In his remark, the chairman of the occasion and the 2027 APGA Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Hon Dozie Nwankwo, while supporting the event with a sum of three million also urged the participating students to embrace discipline, good conduct and positive values as the foundation for a successful future.
Nwankwo said the future of Anambra rests on the younger generation and warned students against truancy, social vices and other negative influences capable of destroying their dreams.
In their separate remarks, the Dean of the Faculty, Engr Prof Ogochukwu Chuka Okonkwo and the chairman, organizing committee of the the event, Engr Prof Leo Chukwuemeka, said the major aimed of the event is to practically lecture the engineering students on how they can become self-reliance at the labour market after graduation.
They appeal to well-to-do individuals in the society to assist the Faculty with more class rooms and scientific laboratories.
The event with the theme; “Engineering Pathways to Economic Sustainabilities ; Unlocking in Agripreneurship, Oil and Gas and beyond” also featured award presentation to Secretary to the Anambra State Government (SSG), Mrs Chiamaka Nnake for her outstanding contribution to Public Service.
