The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) commends the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the recently concluded Osun State Governorship Election, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, for congratulating His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, on his victory at the polls.
In a statement issued on Monday by The Imole Campaign Council, Pelumi Olajngbesi, it reads, this is a commendable demonstration of sportsmanship and political maturity. Elections will come and go, but Osun State remains our collective heritage.
The election was keenly contested, emotions ran high and, regrettably, precious lives were lost. This is therefore a time for healing, reconciliation and sober reflection.
We call on leaders across political divides to embrace this moment and work together for the peace, progress and development of our dear state. Political differences should never become permanent divisions among a people who share a common destiny.
Also, it is important to note that Governor Ademola Adeleke is open to ideas and suggestions from Mr Oyebamiji and others on how to move Osun State forward. The development of our dear state and the progress of her people is a collective responsibility.
There will always be another election and another opportunity to disagree politically. For now, let Osun heal. Let our leaders unite, and let the interest of our people come first.
