Mr. Denis Egor, the immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obubra Chapter, has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty and commitment to the party.
His declaration comes amid speculations of mounting pressure on him from certain quarters within the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reportedly aimed at swaying his political allegiance.
Speaking during a breakfast meeting with APC central senatorial candidate, Hon. Oden Ewa, and the Governor’s Special Adviser on Asset Management and Recovery, Barr. Gilbert Agbor, Denis Egor declared that he had outgrown the politics of persuasion and political manipulation by people he described as daydreamers.

“I find it rather unfortunate that people will even think that I, Denis Egor will defect to a Party that has become a headless chicken, after its State Chairman resigned a few days ago, a headless chicken that will be an easy fry by the APC,” he said.
The APC stalwart maintained that his faith in the Party remained unshaken, stressing that he had invested too much time, energy, and commitment in building the party to abandon it for transient political considerations.
“Nobody can brainwash me. Our state is an APC state under the very capable leadership of Governor Bassey Otu, and our prospects in the coming elections are far too bright for anyone to contemplate abandoning the party,” Egor declared.
On his part, Hon. Oden Ewa commended Egor’s display of political understanding and maturity, noting that he has always believed in his stability.
Also speaking, Barr. Gilbert Agbor told Egor that nobody swims and drowns at the seashore, while assuring him that APC will win from top to bottom and that anyone who would be a part of that victory will be given adequate and commensurate reward.
The meeting was also attended by prominent APC stakeholders in Obubra, including Mr. Wani Enang, KSJI; Mr. Nsiyan Oga (Dubest); and Mr. George Sunday.
