Android 13 QPR3 Beta 1 to be released next week

Android 13 QPR3 Beta 1 to be released next week

Google shared a notice to current testers on the official Android Beta subreddit, reminding all users running QPR2 Beta 3.2 that they need to opt out of the program in order to stably upgrade to the March official version.

Testers will automatically receive Android 13 QPR3 Beta 1 next week if they don’t opt out by March 13 .

Google said it is advising users who want the March stable release to opt out of the program and ignore the new Pixel Beta OTA.

This allows users to avoid wiping their phone’s data – a requirement when downgrading between beta and stable releases.

When Google first announced the continuation of the Android 13 beta program, the fine print stated that its QPR series would end in March and transition to Android 14 sometime thereafter.

However, today’s announcement shows that Google confirmed that there will still be a QPR Beta test version before the Pixel Feature Drop is released in June.

A stable version will be released to the public at the end of each QPR Beta cycle.

After you apply a stable update, you can opt out of future beta updates without wiping your data (but with a time limit until you apply the next beta update, if you choose to do so).
