BCS Announces Silver Jubilee of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu’s Coronation

By Kelvin Obambon

The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) has officially announced the universal celebration of the 25th anniversary of the physical coronation of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

At a press briefing held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the State Library Complex Calabar, BCS Spokesman, PCS Dr. Amah Williams, described the upcoming Silver Jubilee as a “consequential event in history” deeply rooted in divine covenant and the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

Tagged “The Universal Monarch,” the celebration commemorates the April 14, 2001 event where the founder of the BCS, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu (the Ancient of Days), physically crowned His Holiness.

According to Williams, the timing of the celebration is intentionally linked to the Easter season.

“Easter and the Coronation are spiritually linked. One reveals the Lamb that was slain, the other reveals the Lamb upon the throne. One is the cross, the other is the crown,” Williams stated. He noted that while the world reflects on the suffering of Christ, the BCS celebrates the open glorification of the risen Christ in majesty.

According to him, the Silver Jubilee will feature a week-long itinerary of events starting Monday, April 13, 2026, at the BCS World Headquarters in Calabar.

Addressing the state of the nation and global security, the spokesman conveyed a message of divine assurance amidst economic hardship and uncertainty. He noted that His Holiness has declared Cross River State a leading oil-producing hub, a prophecy he claims is already being validated by recent reservoir mapping.

On the subject of national leadership, Williams said “Leadership must serve the people with justice, responsibility, and compassion. God does not approve of power without conscience. Public office must not become a tool for intimidation, greed, or selfish enrichment.”

Regarding the 2027 general elections, the briefing assured Nigerians that “only the will of God shall be done,” urging citizens to avoid violence and acrimony.

The BCS extended an open invitation to all “created by God,” regardless of religious affiliation, race, or status. The spokesman stressed that the past 25 years under the reign of His Holiness have seen unprecedented global expansion, with a presence now established on every continent.

“This is the time to let go of hate and embrace love. His Holiness is informing the entire Christendom that it is meaningless to create boundaries between believers in the name of church,” Williams stated.

The event is expected to draw thousands of pilgrims and dignitaries to the city of Calabar as the BCS marks two and a half decades of what they describe as a transformative and divine reign.

In attendance at the press briefing was the Secretary General of BCS, Senator Degi Biobarakuma, who earlier in his opening remarks, commended the media in Cross River for their continued partnership with the BCS.

The lineup of activities is as follows:

April 14: Coronation Day commemoration, where monarchs and traditional rulers globally are invited to pay homage.

April 15: Free medical outreaches and a Supreme Conference led by academic scholars.

April 16: Global humanitarian and charity activities.

April 17: Consecration of Bishops and Archbishops-Elect.

April 18: An international choral festival.

April 19: The Grand Finale at the U. J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar, where His Holiness is expected to deliver a universal blessing.
