The award has been renamed the NBA All-Star Game Kobe Bryant Most Valuable Player award since 2020 in recognition of the four-time champion [Kobe Bryant]. After the game, a group of media representatives vote on the winner. 25% of the results come from fan voting. The player or players with the most votes are the winners.
The award has had 14 multiple winners since it was established, but who has earned the most NBA All-Star Game MVP awards?
The most NBA All-Star Game MVP awards have been won by Kobe Bryant and Bob Pettit. They are the only two players who have received four MVP awards for the All-Star Game.
With three awards, LeBron James is getting close to Bryant and Pettit’s record. The 38-year-old shares a three-time trophy with Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, and Oscar Robertson.
