Mississippi State head softball coach Samantha Ricketts, right, greets Paige Cook at the dugout after Cook hit one of her two home runs against Kentucky on Sunday. Cook was chosen the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week.

Cook hit three of the 10 homers for MSU that broke the school record for long balls in an SEC series.

With her individual performance, Cook was chosen the SEC Player of the Week on Tuesday.

It was a career weekend for the senior that saw her reach 10 home runs during a season for the first time. She has 22 career homers for ninth in school history.

During the Saturday 12-6 win for the Bulldogs over the Wildcats, Cook was issued a career-high four walks and the two-run homer in that game put her at the 100 career number for runs batted in.
