The ROG 2023 Magic 13 notebook has been released in Japan and is expected to be released in May, with a price starting at 199,800 yen (1,515.76 United States Dollars).
ROG released a new generation of Magic 13 flipbook at this year’s CES, equipped with a new generation of AMD Ryzen 7040HS series processors and RTX 40 series graphics cards. According to the latest news, AMD confirmed that products equipped with Ryzen 7040HS series processors will be delayed until April, and a large number of them will be launched in May this year.
IT House learned from the ROG global official website that the 2023 Magic 13 is equipped with the R9 7940HS processor as standard, with an optional core display version and RTX 4050, 4060 and RTX 4070 independent display versions, and the performance release of the independent display can reach 60W. It should be noted that the ROG China press conference mentioned that this notebook can be equipped with RTX 4050 and RTX 4060 graphics cards, and the Bank of China or no RTX 4070 version is optional.
According to the official introduction, the size of the new ROG Magic 13 is 10mm smaller than that of the previous generation, and the weight is as light as 1.3kg. It is equipped with 16GB LPDDR5 6400MHz high-frequency memory + 1TB PCIe 4.0 large-capacity SSD and supports the new version of the XG Mobile graphics expansion dock to further enhance the Graphics performance.
In terms of screen, ROG Magic 13 is equipped with a Nebula screen with a resolution of 2560×1600, a refresh rate of 165Hz, and a response time of 3ms. Covers 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 500 nits brightness, supports colour gamut switching and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. In addition, ROG’s global official website shows that the nuclear display version of the new ROG Magic 13 is equipped with a 1200p 120Hz screen.
The battery capacity of the Magic 13 has been upgraded to 75 Wh for longer battery life and supports 130W PD charging. The 360° reversible touch screen can present 4 usage modes, providing users with convenient applications with more scenes and more postures.

In terms of interface, this notebook is equipped with HDMI 2.1, USB-A, full-featured USB-C, USB4, microSD card reader, headphone jack and ROG XG graphics dock interface.
