Authorities report that a truck struck and killed a 72-year-old woman in the South Loop on Monday afternoon.
According to Chicago police, the woman was struck by a box truck that was turning north onto the 1100 block of South Wabash Avenue at about 2:22 p.m.
According to authorities, she was brought to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office reports that Marsha Frankel, 72, was declared deceased at 2:35 pm.
The male driver, 31, is not being charged with any crimes.
