Shettima, Obasanjo, Jonathan, others honour Soludo's swearing-in ceremony in Anambra

The Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, two former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, former Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, the Oni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan, on Tuesday March 17, 2026 honoured the second term Swearing-in ceremony of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim in Anambra State.

The ceremony held at Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, also have in attendance, the Oni of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, former governor of the State, Senator Chris Ngige, Hon Paschal Agbodike, Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, members of the State House of Assembly, APC leaders, Yoruba community, Hausa community, Captains of industries, Traditional rulers, President Generals of the 179 communities in the state, APGA supporters and others.

In his inaugural speech,  Soludo promised to sustain his development agenda for a better Anambra.

According to him, “my administration will continue where I stop. I will not take the request of Anambra people for granted. I will continue to be the governor for all.

“I appealed to my co-contesters in the November 8, 2025 governorship election to my administration to move Anambra State forward.”

Governor Soludo commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife, Senator Remi Tinubu for their continue efforts in making Anambra a healthy, lovable and prosperous state in Nigeria.

In his remark, the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima said the federal government remain committed in partnering with Anambra State to move the country forward.

He urged the people to support the governor to enable him actualize his vision of making Anambra a destination hub of Nigeria.

The swearing in oath taking was performed by the state Chief Judge, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu.
