There's no evidence of working together as progressives in Anambra - APC tells gov Soludo

The Anambra State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has appealed to governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo to stopped championing that the party and the state ruling-All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA are assiduously working together as progressives in the state and beyond.

The party argue that there is no evidence to show that the two parties are working together progressively in all political ramifications.

The APC State Chairman, Senator Emmanuel Anosike, made the appeal while speaking to Journalists at the state party’s headquarters in Awka on Friday, shortly after the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected state executive officials of the party.

Anosike, called on party members across the 21 local government area of the State not to be deceive by the governor’s praise-singing slogan.

According to him, Anambra APC and APGA are not working together as being championed by the APGA family and her national leader, governor Soludo.

“There no evidence that the two parties are working together as progressives anywhere in the state and the South East region in general.

“If truly we are working together as progressives, the governor should appoint APC members into his cabinet as Tinubu is doing at the national level, allow some of our members to be local government chairmen or joined the party, then we will know that the two parties are progressively working together as he claimed.

The governor should stop using the slogan to confuse our esteem members who are fully prepared and currently working day and night to ensure they deliver our working President, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all the Anambra APC candidates for the 2027 general elections.

“The newly inaugurated state executive under my watch will not allowed the slogan to mislead Ndi-Anambra.

“The 2027 general elections will prove to the people that APC has come to liberate the state.

“With the current membership strength we have now in Anambra, the entire South East couple with the support of the Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma, Ebonyi State governor, Mr Francis Nwiforu, their Enugu State counterpart, Mr Peter Mbah and the ongoing massive road construction across the region by the Tinubu’s led-Federal government, APC is sure of total victory for  all it candidates in the 2027 general elections.

He urged the new executives to demonstrate diligence and commitment to the party’s ideals.

He also called on members to remain united and avoid divisive tendencies, especially as preparations gradually begin for the 2027 general elections.

He said the inauguration marked an important step in strengthening the party’s organisational structure ahead of future electoral activities.

“We were found worthy to be elected to pilot the affairs of the party for the next four years. Our role is critical to the growth and consolidation of the party in the state.

“The responsibility before us is enormous. We must be diligent in the discharge of our duties and remain committed to the ideals of the party.

The chairman stressed the need for unity among party members, urging leaders and stakeholders to avoid actions capable of creating divisions within the party in Anambra State.
