Addressing the newly minted cabinet members, Governor Soludo emphasized that their appointments were strictly a call to rigorous work, sacrifice, and public accountability rather than personal celebration, admonished the appointees to immediately focus on the task of governance and reminded them that the decisions they make will directly impact the lives of over nine million residents of Anambra State.
Also inaugurated were Managing Director, Anambra Road Traffic Agency, ARTMA, Mr. Emeka Okonkwo, Managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Dr. Ossy Onuko, MD, Information Communication Technology Agency, Mr Fred Agbata, as well as Managing Director, Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, Engr. Obi Okonkwo.
Recall that earlier, Barrister Tochukwu Nweke, SAN, had taken his oath of office as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, as well as while Izuchukwu M. Okafor sworn-in as the Finance Commissioner, bringing the operational total of the state’s cabinet commissioners to 20.
With the legal frameworks concluded, the Governor charged the newly inaugurated commissioners to run their respective ministries with a high level of prudence and synergy.
