The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Southeast Region of Nigeria, has expressed concern over the rising cost of electricity, poor supply, and limited access to affordable financing affecting industries in the region.

Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting on electricity regulation and industrial productivity in Awka, on Friday, May 22nd, 2026, MAN Southeast Chairman, Dr. Lady Ada Chukwudozie, said manufacturers need clearer information on electricity supply obligations, billing transparency, consumer protection, and dispute resolution mechanisms.

She noted that improved electricity regulation and collaboration among stakeholders would boost industrial productivity, investor confidence, job creation, and economic growth.
