According to him, “I, my wife, and my children took it upon ourselves to invest in humanity by building this five classroom blocks for conducive learning.

“As also part of celebrating my 77th birthday and my wife, Lady Patricia Okeke’s 72nd birthday, we both decided to build and donate this edifice to the school, owned by the Diocese on the Niger East (Anglican Communion) Anam to encourage them.

”We did this work just to encourage other well-to-do in society to come out and invest in humanity, particularly for those residing at the rural areas in Anambra West Local Government Area.

“We are happy doing this and will continue to do this, hoping that God is the one that will pay us back. In marking our birthday, we decided to build this edifice just to assist individuals, groups and religion organizations to build a smart, digitalized, lovable and prosperous Anambra and Nigeria as a whole.

“Its a call for collective action towards improved secondary education infrastructure in Anam communities.

“This is not merely a birthday celebration. It is a platform to draw attention to the educational needs of Anam, an educationally underserved community and to inspire collective action towards improving access to quality secondary education there.

“My 77th birthday anniversary is choosen to that by drawing attention to a cause that serves a greater good instead of a personal celebration.

“I believed life’s milestones is for one to mark with impact through providing help and support where direly needed.

In 2024, I celebrated with students of the Special School for the Deaf, Odoakpu, Onitsha, where I donated a classroom block and a hostel block to improve learning conditions.

“I have once donated a 400-resident capacity hostel at Paul University Awka, an endowment building for the department of English Language at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, and I am currently raising a four-storey mega library at University on the Niger, Umunya where over N250 million has been sunk into the project.

“Okeke Scholarship for Global health has continue to sponsor students at University of California San Diego amongst other local programs that give access to education to the underserved in Nigeria.

“The current initiative follows the same philosophy of using personal milestones to create opportunities for others.

“My focus this year is on improving access to quality secondary education in Anam. Despite being known for their hard work, productivity and resilience, many communities in Anam continue to face significant challenges arising from flooding and difficult terrain, which affect social infrastructure development, including education.

“The initiative seeks to draw attention to these realities and encourage greater support for educational development.

“I am inviting friends, associates, corporate organizations, community leaders and public-spirited individuals to become partners in expanding educational opportunities for future generations.

The initiative is ultimately about children and young people. Improved classrooms, learning spaces, furniture and educational facilities create better opportunities for learning, personal development and future economic participation.

“My vision is not about buildings alone, but about investing in human potential.

“We have also setside N100 million to keep the school more attracting and functional for five years, aimed at driving human capital development in Anambra West Local Government Area of the State through intentional investments in education.

While appreciating the Chief Executive Officer of Dozzy Oil, Chief Daniel Chukwudozie for making a Church donating of N50 million, the GUO boss also appealed to people in the area to prioritize education for future grow and development.

In their separate remarks, the Archbishop of Niger East Anglican Communion, the Lord Bishop Obiora Uzochukwu, the Traditional ruler of of Ifite-Gwari community, Igwe Sunday Udoji Ozomena and the former President General of Eze-Anam community, Chief Charles Igbanugo Okafor, while appreciating the benefactor for the kind gesture, said the structure would equipped the students for future development.

They described the donation as a welcome development, it provide quality education in area.
