How to Check Names of Successful Applicants for 50000 Police Constable Recruitment

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially released the names of successful candidates for the recruitment of 50000 Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.

According to a press statement signed on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, by Torty Kalu, Head of Protocol and Public Relations at the Commission Headquarters in Abuja, the release of the names marks the successful completion of a comprehensive, inclusive, and transparent recruitment process.

The commission collaborated with key stakeholders to conduct the exercise, including the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, States Career and Counseling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee.

How to Check Recruitment Status

Applicants who sat for the recently concluded written examinations can check their admission status beginning Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 12:00 AM, when the official portal opens.

Official Portal: npfapplication.psc.gov.ng

Alternative Notifications: Successful candidates will also receive email and SMS alerts via the contact details provided during their initial application.

Training, Medicals, and Required Documents

Successful candidates will be required to report to designated Police Training Institutions for medical screening and documentation. Specific dates and times for resumption will be communicated shortly.

The PSC warned that candidates who do not report within the designated timeframe will forfeit their slots. Additionally, any candidate who fails the medical examination conducted by the Police Medical Team upon arrival will be declared unfit and sent home.

On the day of resumption, candidates must present the following documents:

Training call-up slip

National Identification Number (NIN) slip

Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip

Original and photocopies of academic and personal certificates

Other required items to be listed on the recruitment portal.

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, retired DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu, expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 personnel, describing the move as a critical step toward fortifying Nigeria’s national security framework.

DIG Argungu congratulated the selected candidates, urging them to view their recruitment as a patriotic duty to serve the nation with honor, integrity, and a dedication to securing the country.
