The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Governorship Campaign Organisation in Cross River has appealed to party members, supporters, and the general public to remain calm following the omission of its governorship candidate, Ambassador Nkoyo Toyo, and her running mate, Dr. Dino Morgan, from the official list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Director-General of the ADC Governorship Campaign Organisation, Hon. Prince Henry Enyong, issued the plea in a statement on Wednesday.

Addressing growing concerns and anxiety among party faithful, Enyong reassured supporters that the leadership of the party is actively handling the situation and taking all required measures to rectify the electoral body’s omission.

“I appeal to all our members, supporters, and well-wishers to remain calm. The party is aware of the situation and is working to address it. We urge everyone to remain peaceful and patient while the necessary steps are taken to resolve the matter,” Enyong stated.

He further called on party members to demonstrate discipline, maintain unity, and avoid panic or unverified speculation that could trigger unnecessary tension across the state.

According to the Director-General, the campaign organisation remains firmly focused on resolving the issue through established legal and administrative channels. He added that stakeholders and the public will be routinely updated as developments unfold.

Reaffirming the party’s stance, the campaign organization declared its commitment to peaceful democratic engagement while pursuing a resolution with the electoral empire.
