Santuscom Foods Limited, a subsidiary of Santuscom Group, has entered into a landmark N5 billion food production, marketing and distribution partnership with a United Kingdom-based firm, in a move aimed at expanding the reach of Nigerian agricultural products across the UK and the wider European market.
The partnership, formalised at a meeting and signing ceremony in Manchester, United Kingdom, will focus on the production, marketing, local fulfilment and distribution of a range of Santuscom products, including Ogoja Garri, Ogoja Palm Oil, Ogoja Unripe Plantain Flour, Yam Poundo and Santuscom Honey Beans.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Santuscom Group, Chief Ofana Paul Santus, described the partnership as a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to take Nigerian agricultural products to international markets. He said the agreement represented more than a commercial arrangement, but an opportunity to strengthen the value chain around locally produced agricultural commodities while creating access to consumers beyond Nigeria.

The partnership will see the UK-based Dawn Fulfilment, founded by Mrs Gbemi Elisha, support Santuscom with product storage, local fulfilment and micro-distribution within the UK. According to Gbemi, Dawn Fulfilment is positioned to help Santuscom convert growing demand for its products into readily accessible local supply by serving independent retailers, African supermarkets, restaurants, online customers and smaller wholesale buyers.
Gbemi said the company was particularly attracted to Santuscom’s ambition to establish a strong presence in the UK rather than simply export Nigerian products into the market. She noted that Santuscom’s UK launch, featuring products such as Ogoja Garri, Yam Poundo, Ogoja Unripe Plantain Flour, Palm Oil and Honey Beans, demonstrated an ambition to build sustainable market traction and use the UK as a platform for broader international expansion.
Under the proposed arrangement, Dawn Fulfilment will hold Santuscom products within the UK and facilitate their distribution closer to consumers and retail outlets. This model is expected to reduce the distance between imported Nigerian food products and their target customers, while enabling retailers and consumers to access the products more conveniently as demand grows.
The partnership also highlights the increasing commercial potential of Nigerian agricultural and food products in international markets, particularly among the African diaspora and consumers seeking authentic Nigerian food products. For Santuscom, the Manchester agreement represents an important step towards building an organised export and distribution network capable of supporting the company’s expansion beyond Nigeria.
Chief Ofana Paul said the development would contribute to positioning Nigerian agricultural products for greater international visibility, while creating opportunities for farmers, processors, distributors and other participants across the agricultural value chain.
The N5 billion partnership, therefore, marks a new phase in Santuscom’s export strategy, with the company seeking to combine local agricultural production with international marketing, fulfilment and distribution capacity to take products from Ogoja and other parts of Nigeria to consumers in the UK and beyond.
Congratulations to the Santuscom Group…
