The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, has urged men and women of the Force in Anambra State to make decent and disciplined their major priorities.
He warned that the era of impunity and uninvited interference on public matters is over nationwide under his watch.
The IGP made his position known through the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 13 Ukpo, comprises of Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi States, AIG Miller Gajere Dantawaye while addressing top police officers at the Anambra Command headquarters in Amawbia -Awka, on Friday.

According to Dantawaye, the mindset of IGP Disu, is for us to remained disciplined at all time while discharging our civic responsibilities to the people who pays our salaries.
“There will be no more compromised in the Force across the Zone 13 Ukpo jurisdiction under my watch as directed by the IGP.
“We must address and treat the people we are being payed to protect with high level of civility.
“We must show respect to members of the public at any given time.
“We must try always to do the right thing to maintain and sustained the integrity of the Force.
“We must improved our level of neatness, because, you can only be address the way you dressed while interfacing the public.
“I am saying all this because, I am not an armedchair Assistant Inspector General of Police in Nigeria. My leadership would not tolerate impunity and indiscipline from any officer working under the zone 13: jurisdiction.
“We must all work collaboratively with Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi residents and our police colleagues at the above mentioned states to keep the zone free of violent crimes, Dantawaye cautioned further.
He announced that the IGP has mapped out plans to commence nationwide training and retraining of officers on intelligence gathering and for the 2027 general election.
He commended the Anambra Police Command under the leadership of CP Nnanna Oji Ama, for it continue effort in the fight against crime in the state.
