As the All Progressive Congress, APC, set for it 2027 Presidential primaries on Saturday, May 2026 across all 8,809 wards in Nigeria, the Anambra chapter of the party has expressed readiness to participate in the process peacefully across the 326 wards in the state.
The State Chairman of the party, Senator Emmanuel Anosike, announced the chapter’s readiness while briefing Journalists at the state party’s headquarters in Awka on Friday.
Anosike said adequate security has also been put in place across all the political wards in the state for the smooth electoral process.
“Yes, we are fully prepared to participate in our great party APC’s Presidential primaries scheduled to hold nationwide on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026.
“The State Executive Committee under my leadership will all go out en masse to supervised, monitor and to ensure that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerges the party’s flag bearer ahead of the January 16th, 2027 general elections.
“We will ensure that he wins in Anambra State.
“The Anambra State chapter of the party will vote adequately to ensure Tinubu emerged victorious to enable him continue his good governance and all-inclusiveness administration in Nigeria, Anosike campaign further.
The Chairman noted that the press briefing was also to let the World know that the just concluded primary elections for the House of Representative and the State House of Assembly went smooth and peaceful.
He said “I wish to tell you all that the election went very well and we are very much delighted with the kind of turnout we gathered from our commitment and dedicated members and it’s really tells the environment that we are on ground getting fully ready for the 2027 general elections.
“As it stands, we have successfully cleared 27 candidates for Anambra State House of Assembly, 11 for House of Representative and 3 for the Senatorial seats respectively ahead of the 2027 polls.
“The election went very credible, fair, just and transparent to the point that even those that lost went home happy.
“On behalf of the State executive, I thanked the party’s National Working Committee NWC, and the primaries election committee for ensuring a smooth conduct of the exercise in Anambra State.
Anosike also commended the Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for his continue financial support for the grow and development of APC in Anambra State.
