The Coalition of Cross River State Youths has pledged to build an inclusive and youth-driven platform that will promote integrity, service, and collective development across the state.
The coalition, popularly known as COCRISY, is expected to be formally inaugurated on Monday in Calabar.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Director-General of the group, Hon. Etem Okimba, said the coalition would operate beyond ethnic, political, and professional divisions to ensure wider participation among young people.

“My commitment as DG is to ensure that COCRISY stands on integrity, inclusion, and service. We will work across ethnic, political, and professional lines so that no community and no young person is left behind,” he stated.
Okimba said the coalition was designed to create opportunities for youths to actively contribute to governance, policy discussions, and community development in Cross River State.
He called on stakeholders and members of the public who believe in accountable and youth-centred leadership to support the initiative.
According to him, the inauguration would mark the foundation of what he described as a long-term movement for youth engagement and development in the state.
The event is expected to attract youth leaders, civil society actors, and community representatives from across the 18 local government areas.
