Four out of the eight Federal House of Representatives members have been denied the All Progressives Congress, APC, Tickets in Cross River State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Among those denied tickets after the Saturday May 16 primaries were three-term member, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency, and one-term member, Hon. Godwin Offiono representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency.
The others are one-term member, Hon. Emil Inyang representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency; and one-term member, Hon. Bassey Akiba representing Odukpani/Calabar Municipality Federal Constituency.

Meanwhile, three Reps members were given a returned ticket. They are one-term member, Hon. Peter Akpanke representing Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency; one-term member, Hon. Joseph Bassey representing Akpabuyo/Bakassi/Calabar South Federal Constituency; and one-term member, Hon. Victor Abang representing Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency.
Earlier, the member representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency, Hon. Alex Egbona, had defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to pursue his reelection ambition after signs emerged he would not be given the ticket under APC.
