Ahead of party primaries for the 2027 general elections, the House of Representative aspirant for Awka North and South Federal Constituency, High Chief Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor, has expressed confidence in winning the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA’s ticket if the party conduct a free, fair transparent and credible primaries election, scheduled for May 23rd, 2026.
Ekweozor disclosed this why fielding questions from members of the Anambra Patriot, an APGA support group in Awka on Sunday, during their meeting, where he also unveiled his 4-point agenda for the Constituency.
According to him, “2027 is very critical for the sustainance of the dominance of our party in the state and beyond, and as such, we cannot afford to field unpopular candidates who may be rejected by the people during the voting proper with other political parties.

“APGA need someone like me to sustain governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s legacy projects in Awka North and South Federal Constituency.
“I am vying for the position to extend my philanthropical activities across communities that constitute the Constituency.
My representation at the green chamber of the National Assembly Abuja, will focus on people-oriented programmes.
“My four-point agenda include, Agriculture, provision of adequate security, provision of low cost housing for my constituents and infrastructure.
“I will run all-inclusive representation.
“I am the most popular aspirant among other contesters in the race. I am very easy to access. My doors are open to any constituent seeking for help.
“I have been a consistent and loyal Party’ man since I join APGA in 2004 and I pledge to remain loyal. I have been a supportive member of APGA since I join the party.
“I have all it takes to represent Awka North and South Federal Constituency. I am the only person who has the nationwide connection to lobby and attract federal presence to the people.
“I strongly believe that, I will emerge the party flagbearer, if APGA conducted it primaries in free, fair, transparent and credible basis as promised by our National leader and governor Soludo, Ekweozor expressed confidence.
He pledge to build a befitting secretariat for the APGA political support group”Anambra Patriot ” if given the opportunity to represent the Constituency.
In his remark, the Chairman of Anambra Patriot, Chief Ejiamatu Enekwechi, said the group will support Ekweozor aspiration because of it competence and experience.
He noted that the group, been a discipline body is focused on grooming competent professionals to support the state governor, Chukwuma Soludo. in delivering quality governance through legislative excellence and collaboration.
He appreciated the aspirant for pledging to build a befitting secretariat for the group, if elected.
The meeting was also attended by the group national convener who is also the newly appointed Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Arc Okey Ezeobi and other thousands of members.
