Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has sworn in his first set of fourteen key political appointees days after taking the oath of office for his second tenure.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Exco Chamber, Light House Awka, on Wednesday, 26th March, 2026.
Among the appointees sworn in were the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, Principle Secretary to the governor, Barrister Joachim Anetoh, Chief Press Secretary to governor, Christian Aburime as well as Dr Ben Nwankwo as Chief of Staff to the governor.

Other names and positions of the appointees are as follows: Head of Service, Mrs Ngozi Iwouno; Principal Secretary to the Governor, Joachim Anetoh, State Chief of Protocol, Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor, Commissioner for Finance, Uzochukwu Okafor
Others are Attorney-General of the State, Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr Vincent Okechi; and Deputy State Chief of Protocol, Ms. Ngozi Okoye.
Others are Special Adviser, Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, Dr Godwin Nnadozie; Special Adviser, Innovation and Business Incubation & CEO, Solution Innovation District, Ms. Chinwe Okoli; Special Adviser, Special Projects and Director, Project Evaluation and Monitoring, Prof. Ebuka Nwankwo; and Special Adviser, Community Security, Mr Ken Emeakayi.
Performing the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Soludo while congratulating, reminded the appointees of the need to be dedicated in their duties to ensure that they contribute meaningfully to the success of his solution agenda.
According to him, this is a call to serve the good people of Anambra State. I didn’t appoint you to come and chop but to served the people with dignity. This job is a 24/7 assignment. You are now part of the term Solution 2.0 of my administration. You are appointed to add value to the grow and development of the State.
“Let’s work as a term to actualised this administration’s vision of making Anambra a destination hub of Nigeria.
Soludo while urging the people to pray for the new appointees to succeed in their various capabilities, also assured that his second term would witness massive improvement in the provision of infrastructure, entrepreneurial development, education and quality healthcare delivery services across the 179 communities that constitute the state.
In their separate interviews with journalists shortly after the ceremony, the appointees pledges to carry out their duties diligently in accordance with the governor’s solution mantra.
