World Nurses Day: Anambra First Lady Commends Nigerian Nurses On Dedication

As the World marked this year 2026 International Nurses Day, the wife of Anambra State governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has commended the commitment and dedication of nurses towards delivering of quality healthcare service in Nigeria.

Mrs Soludo commendation was contained in a statement signed and issued to journalists in Awka on Tuesday by her media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe.

According to her, “Today, we celebrate the unsung heroes whose compassion and dignity speak louder than words — our nurses.

“Behind every recovering patient is a dedicated nurse who stayed awake through the night, offered reassurance in moments of fear and anxiety, and gave care with patience, strength, and love. Their service goes beyond medicine; they bring hope, comfort, and humanity to healthcare and our society.

“On this International Nurses Day, I honour the dedication, sacrifice, and resilience of nurses in Anambra State and beyond.

“Your commitment continues to save lives, strengthen families, and uphold the dignity of our communities every single day.

“Thank you for all you do. The world is healthier, kinder, and safer because of you,” the governor’s wife concluded.
