The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially launched a nationwide grassroots campaign aimed at mobilizing over 40 million female voters across all 176,846 communities housing polling units in the country to secure a second-term victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the upcoming January 2027 presidential election.
The political drive, operating under the Directorate of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, is led by Dr. Betta Edu in coordination with First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu (CON).
Campaign coordinators reported that daily ward meetings and community engagements are already underway to organize local female organizers, who are positioned as key “foot soldiers” at polling units across the country.

Mobilisation activities have been reported across several states in all geopolitical zones, including Jigawa (Gumel LGA), Kano (Dawakin Kudu, Bebeji, Sabon Gari, and Kano Municipal LGAs), Zamfara (Maradun and Gusau LGAs), Kwara (Ilorin), as well as Imo, Cross River, Benue, Plateau, Oyo, Ondo, Rivers, and Osun states.
According to campaign organizers, the primary driver behind the grassroots support is the impact of key federal initiatives on families and local livelihoods. Specifically, women leaders highlighted the influence of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has provided tuition and stipends to keep students in tertiary institutions, and the Renewed Hope Initiative led by the First Lady, which has delivered targeted economic empowerment programs across rural and urban communities.
With community level activations continuing daily, campaign leadership expressed confidence that the sustained mobilization effort and unified structure across the 176,846 communities will deliver a decisive electoral outcome for the presidential ticket come January 2027.
