The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has opened its 2026/2027 First-Choice Admission Screening Exercise with the introduction of 19 new academic programmes, creating expanded opportunities for prospective students across a range of professional and emerging disciplines.
The new programmes, located across the university’s Calabar and Okuku campuses, span architecture, engineering, computing, physical sciences and health-related fields, adding fresh dimensions to the institution’s academic offerings.
In an admission notice signed by the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Catherine Ndifon Osai, the university said candidates who chose UNICROSS as their first choice in the 2026 UTME and scored 150 and above are eligible for the screening exercise.

Candidates who did not initially choose UNICROSS as their first choice may also change their institution of choice to the university through the JAMB website before proceeding with the admission screening registration.
At the Calabar Campus, the new programmes comprise Architecture, Interior Architecture Design, Landscape Architecture, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Production and Material Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Science Laboratory Technology and Artificial Intelligence Engineering.
The Okuku Campus will offer Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, Community Health Science, Forensic Science, Radiography, Pharmacology and Nursing Science.
The institution said the screening fee is N2,000, payable through its online application portal using a Master, Visa or Verve card, bank transfer or USSD.
Applicants are required to visit admissions.unicross.edu.ng, enter their JAMB registration number, purchase an E-PIN, verify their information and complete the online application.
Candidates must upload their O’Level result(s), JAMB result slip and recent passport photograph, while ensuring that their contact details are accurate and all required documents are properly scanned.
UNICROSS stressed that candidates are not required to appear physically for the screening exercise and should therefore not travel to Calabar or any other campus.
The university also advised applicants to establish the campus where their preferred programmes are domiciled before completing their applications.
The introduction of the new programmes is expected to widen access to specialised academic training while strengthening UNICROSS’s capacity to produce graduates in fields relevant to technological, industrial and healthcare development.
The university urged eligible candidates to complete their applications accurately and provided 08189351784, 09015055999, 09053310247, 09068968666 and 07071919527 as helplines for enquiries.
