A leading aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the Njikoka Constituency one in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Emeka Ozumba, has pledged to drive inclusive development and strengthen grassroots representation if elected in the 2027 general election.
Ozumba, whose ambition continues to gain traction, is seeking the party’s ticket to represent the constituency in the State Assembly.
He made the pledge while speaking to Journalists at the APGA regional headquarters in Awka on Tuesday, shortly after scaling through screening ahead of the party’s primaries.

He said his decision to contest was driven by the need to bridge developmental gaps and ensure that all segments of the constituency, compromises Enugwukwu, Nawfia and Enugwuagidi feel adequately represented.
He outlined key priorities of his agenda, including infrastructure development, youth and women’s empowerment, and expanded access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and economic opportunities.
According to him, “I am committed to building a constituency where no group feels left out. Development must be inclusive, and representation must reflect the diversity of our people,” he said.
Ozumba emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through collective effort and people-focused policies.
The APGA aspirant, who previously served as deputy press secretary to governor Willie Obiano and a liaison officer in the Senate during the 2nd National Assembly, highlighted his experience in governance.
“I have the political experience and understand the needs of our people. I assure you that I will not disappoint. I will invest in my constituents and ensure they enjoyed the dividends of democracy, they will be carried along in policy decisions and empowerment programmes under my Legislative watch.
However, Ozumba further promised to facilitate projects that would improve internal road networks, support small and medium-scale enterprises, and attract government presence to the constituency.
He appreciated the APGA screening committee over it transparent process, describing it as a reflection of growing confidence in the party’s leadership.
